What it does

PAUSE / ENABLE / REMOVE an EXISTING Google Ads keyword, or change its max CPC bid. This is the keyword STATUS tool: it pauses a keyword without deleting it, re-enables a paused one, or removes keywords from an ad group (moving keywords = add_keywords in the target group, then remove here). It works on POSITIVE keywords — negative keywords are handled by add_negative_keyword / remove_negative_keyword. criterion_ids: comma-separated criterion ids (the criterion id from keyword_report / list_entities(entity='keywords') output; that output also carries quality_score so you can decide what to pause). action: pause | enable | remove | set_bid (with cpc_bid, in the main currency) | set_url (keyword-level landing page that overrides the ad's final URL: final_url and/or final_mobile_url; pass an empty string to clear one and fall back to the ad's URL). confirm=false → dry-run.

How to use it

You don't call tools by name. Write what you want in ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant connected to Opus Growth, in your own words; it picks this tool when it fits.

Because this tool changes your account, your assistant first shows a preview of exactly what will change. Nothing is applied until you say yes, and every applied change is written to your audit log.
