What it does

UPDATES a TikTok ad group's TARGETING, BID and SCHEDULE in place. Until now only status and budget could be changed, so any targeting tweak meant deleting and rebuilding the ad group — which RESETS the learning phase and throws away performance history. It widens/narrows locations, ages, genders, interests or audiences, changes the bid, or extends the run dates without losing what the algorithm already learned.

Leave a field empty to keep it unchanged. location_ids / age_groups / genders / interest_category_ids / audience_ids / excluded_audience_ids are comma-separated. schedule_start / schedule_end: 'YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS'. Passing bid_price switches the ad group to manual bidding automatically (bid_type=BID_TYPE_CUSTOM) — TikTok silently ignores a bid sent without it. Set bid_type=BID_TYPE_NO_BID (with no bid_price) to go back to automatic bidding. pacing: PACING_MODE_SMOOTH (standard) | PACING_MODE_FAST (accelerated; needs a manual bid). confirm=false previews.

How to use it

You don't call tools by name. Write what you want in ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant connected to Opus Growth, in your own words; it picks this tool when it fits.

Because this tool changes your account, your assistant first shows a preview of exactly what will change. Nothing is applied until you say yes, and every applied change is written to your audit log.
