What it does

Rename a Google Ads AD GROUP and/or change its default max CPC bid. Restructuring an existing account means renaming groups constantly — a theme gets split, a match type moves out, a naming convention changes — and without this the rename has to happen in the Google Ads interface while everything else is done here. name = the new ad group name (unique within the campaign). cpc_bid = the group's default max CPC in the account currency; leave it at 0 to keep the current bid. status ('ENABLED' | 'PAUSED') is accepted too so a rename and a pause can be one call; update_ad_group_status does the status alone. Only the fields you pass are changed. confirm=false → dry-run.

How to use it

You don't call tools by name. Write what you want in ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant connected to Opus Growth, in your own words; it picks this tool when it fits.

Because this tool changes your account, your assistant first shows a preview of exactly what will change. Nothing is applied until you say yes, and every applied change is written to your audit log.
