What it does

Google Ads Keyword Planner HISTORICAL METRICS for keywords you already have (not new ideas — use keyword_planner for ideas). For each keyword returns the month-by-month search volume (monthly_searches: [{month: 'YYYY-MM', searches}]), average monthly searches, competition (LOW/MEDIUM/HIGH + 0-100 index), the top-of-page bid range (low/high, account currency) and average CPC, plus the close variants Google grouped under it. It shows seasonality and trend for keywords (a fall in searches vs a seasonal pattern). keywords: up to 10,000 per call. language_id: Google language constant id (1000 English, 1037 Turkish, 1001 German…); empty = all languages. geo_ids: Google geo target constant ids (geo_target_search finds them); empty = all locations. start_month / end_month: 'YYYY-MM'; Google keeps roughly the last 4 years; default is the last 12 months. Read-only.
