What it does

Creates a new AD GROUP inside a Google Ads campaign — the layer between the campaign and its keywords/ads. This is the missing middle step when building a search campaign end to end: create_search_campaign (campaign + budget) → create_ad_group (this, one per theme) → add_keywords (positive keywords for that group) → create_responsive_search_ad (the RSA, which needs the ad_group_id this returns). cpc_bid = the group's default max CPC in the account currency. In a DISPLAY campaign the group is created as a Display ad group; when that campaign bids on viewable CPM (create_display_campaign bid_strategy=MANUAL_CPM), cpm_bid = the max viewable CPM (cost per 1,000 viewable impressions) instead of cpc_bid; create_responsive_display_ad and manage_audience_targeting complete it. confirm=false → dry-run.

How to use it

You don't call tools by name. Write what you want in ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant connected to Opus Growth, in your own words; it picks this tool when it fits.

Because this tool changes your account, your assistant first shows a preview of exactly what will change. Nothing is applied until you say yes, and every applied change is written to your audit log.
