What it does
Browse the media library of a connected WordPress site: images already uploaded, with their id, URL, alt text and dimensions.
Search by name finds an existing image, so an image is not uploaded twice. The returned id is what you pass as featured_media to wordpress_create_post / wordpress_update_post.
media_id returns ONE image in full: file size in bytes plus every intermediate size WordPress generated (medium, medium_large, large, theme sizes) with its real width, height and source_url, and the srcset WordPress itself would emit. That is what makes a hero/LCP image fixable: without the real list you would have to GUESS the "-768x347.jpg" style filenames, and a wrong guess puts a 404 on a live page. The returned srcset is ready to use. return_image=true (with a media_id) SHOWS the picture: the server fetches the image bytes itself and returns a downscaled (max 512px) preview as an image visible in chat, instead of just a URL. The preview shows an existing image's style and confirms which file it is. If the server cannot fetch the bytes (site behind a WAF, etc.) it returns the URL and the reason instead.
check_url asks the SITE to HEAD one of its own URLs and returns status, content type and length — for verifying an image variant exists, or checking a link or redirect. Only URLs on that same site are allowed. Needs Opus Growth Connector 0.6.1 or newer.
