What it does

Starts a FULL BACKUP (files + database) of a connected WordPress site with UpdraftPlus, or reads its progress and result; a backup before a PHP upgrade, a WordPress core update or a batch of plugin updates allows a rollback. action: • start: schedules UpdraftPlus "Backup Now" in the background (plugins, themes, uploads, other files and the database by default; include_files / include_database narrow it). The backup is kept even if UpdraftPlus's retention rule would delete it. If a backup is already running it is not started twice. confirm=true required. • status — progress of the given backup_id (or the last one started here): running / finished, each component with its size, whether the set is complete, and the last log lines. Read-only. Backups stay on the site's own server (wp-content/updraft) unless UpdraftPlus remote storage is configured; downloading or sending them elsewhere is done in WordPress admin > Settings > UpdraftPlus Backups. Needs UpdraftPlus active and Connector 0.9.4 or newer.

How to use it

You don't call tools by name. Write what you want in ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant connected to Opus Growth, in your own words; it picks this tool when it fits.

Because this tool changes your account, your assistant first shows a preview of exactly what will change. Nothing is applied until you say yes, and every applied change is written to your audit log.
